Weekend Sports Preview Bristol – 14th & 15th December

We enjoyed watching roller derby with the Bristol Harlots last weekend. What will we show up for this weekend?

Bristol Bombers take on Oxford in a friendly match at Clevedon on Saturday at 12 o’clock. The women’s team recently came third in the third South West Tournament  in Bath on the 1st of December. As an aside, lacrosse is Canada’s national sport so we must love it!

It’s Round 10 of the Western League cyclo-cross competition being held on Sunday 15th December from 11:30am in Fishponds. After Round 9, the top of the senior SW table is held by Alison Hooper, Angela Pike, and Elaine Mason – ones to watch!

Our Premiership team are back at home this Sunday to take on Richmond Ladies. Bristol Ladies are currently third in the table after last weekend’s draw with Worcester. This result disappointed the team, feeling it was a match Bristol should have won.

This Sunday, Bristol Ladies are pitched against a team higher up in the League with Richmond standing at number two – so they’ll need lots of home support and cheer. Show up for 2pm kick off at Portway Rugby Development Centre near Sea Mills train station (BS9 2HS).

At the South Bristol Sports Centre from 2pm on Sunday you can show up to support our Bristol & West Ladies Football Club as they play bottom-of-the-league Quedgeley Wanderers Ladies. Bristol & West are currently third in the Gloucestershire County Women’s Football League and are an FA Charter Standard Club.
